Founded in 1992 as Ringrose Grimsley & Co, RGL was born from a vision shared by Terry Grimsley and Gordon Ringrose: to provide the kind of attentive, reliable service they knew was becoming hard to find. To this day our aim is to offer clients practical, straightforward advice and guidance.

A brief look at our history...

1992

The original practice was formed by Terry Grimsley and Gordon Ringrose operating under the name Ringrose Grimsley & Co.

1998

During 1998 Gordon retired from full time advising Terry became the sole owner of the practice. Later that year, Terry was joined by David Frankland, an IFA from Equity & Law.

2003

In early 2003 we had a bespoke client database developed to allow us to work the way we wanted. This was but by one of our clients, Richard Berry of Desktop Logic, who continues to develop this project with us to date!

2003

In December 2003 David Frankland acquired the business and a number of changes and improvements were made. This included incorporating Ringrose Grimsley & Co as a Limited company and acceptance by the FSA (The Financial Services Authority) to be directly regulated by them. A new branding was created and we were, from then on, known as RGL.

2008

After an extensive search and two major disappointments we eventually found a new “home” in the Orton Southgate area of Peterborough. Our new offices gave us immediate access to the A1, as well as swift connections to all other parts of Peterborough.

2008 - 2019

2008 to 2019 saw us consolidate our property position in Orton Southgate, Peterborough.

2019 to date

Early in 2019 we seized the opportunity to purchase land and build our own offices just south of Peterborough in Yaxley.
