David Frankland – DipPFS
David Frankland is the RGL practice owner and Managing Director. He joined RGL in 1998 having worked previously for Equity & Law, where he qualified. David is also Compliance Officer for the firm.
David is a ‘pension’s expert’ and also advises on investments and tax planning.
Outside of work David’s interests centre around his main love of motorsports. David has driven for Radical and has launched his own racing team company Valour Performance Ltd.
Joanne Berrie-Nicol – PA to Managing Director
Jo joined the practice in 2015 as Personal Assistant to David Frankland. She is not qualified to offer financial advice. Jo provides administrative support to the advisers, oversees the day to day running of the office, chases paperwork, providers and the advisers, and is usually the first voice you will hear when you telephone the office.
Her background is in fashion retail and customer services.
Rachel Spencer – Vivid Finance
Rachel Spencer is the Principal of Vivid Finance and has over 22 years’ experience in the financial sector. In 2005, Rachel set up Vivid Finance specialising in protecting personal and corporate clients assets, their potential shortfalls and also arranging finance for a home or an investment property.
Vivid Finance joined forces with RGL in 2010, offering its clients a full Financial Planning service. Vivid Finance specialises in mortgage & protection products for personal and corporate clients.
Rachel has a vast amount of knowledge of the financial sector, having worked for top insurance companies, mortgage brokers and independent financial advisers.
Separate from work, Rachel has carried out many voluntary roles including; Treasurer, Parish Counsellor and Event Organiser. Rachel also runs a Community Food & Garden Club. When not participating in work or voluntary roles, Rachel enjoys walking, yoga and touring the UK in her caravan, enjoying outside activities with her partner and dog.
Terry Grimsley
Terry is one of the founding partners of the original Ringrose Grimsley IFA practice; and is in fact still in touch with Gordon Ringrose, the second ‘founding father’! He worked for many years in foreign exchange bureau and has travelled all over the world in this capacity. You can read more about Terry and how he set up Ringrose Grimsley in our ‘History’ tab.
Whilst he is ‘mostly’ retired, Terry stays in touch with the practice and his clients; many of whom he has known for over thirty years.
